DPOF
DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) is a system which allows capture devices (such as a digital camera) to define what captured images are to be printed on compatible print devices. At it's simplest level a set of text files in a special directory on a digital cameras storage card, these files define what images are to be printed, how many copies of each image, if any information is to be overlaid on the image. This is usually implemented through a menu option of the digital camera's playback mode, it allows for the tagging of images for printing along with other details such as number of copies.
